This Week in Boston Shows (April 5-12)

On Thursday, April 8th, Atoms for Peace (Thom Yorke) will appear at the Citi Performing Arts Center – Wang Theatre. In addition to Yorke, the group consists of Flea, Nigel Godrich, Joey Waronker, and Mauro Refosco. Flying Lotus opens the show. We’ve got a few of these hard to come by tickets starting at $149 for orchestra seats. Comedian and writer Chelsea Handler will be performing two shows at the Wang Theatre Saturday, April 10th. Handler is the host of E!’s “Chelsea Lately” show and the author of three books. Her latest, “Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang,” was released on April 1st. Tickets are still available for both the 8 PM and 10:30 PM show. Orchestra seats start at $135.

Boston’s House of Blues will host Get the Led Out this Saturday. The tribute band has become well known for bringing the studio recordings of Led Zeppelin to the stage. They are popular with long time Zeppelin fans along with new listeners who never got to experience the original group. Floor tickets start at $49.

Also on Saturday, The Phantom Gourmet returns to the Bayside Expo for the Wine and Food Phest. Occurring from 3 PM – 8 PM, a ticket to the Phest will include sampling of 30 different wines and 30 foods. There will also be other beverages available to purchase. If you’re looking for a great family activity, the Big Apple Circus will be taking over Boston City Hall Plaza for the weekend. There will be numerous performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Mezzanine tickets are on sale for $75 with ringside seats at $95.
