Veteran rock band Aerosmith is set to perform at Boston’s TD Garden July 17th as part of their 2012 summer tour. Frontman Steven Tyler released a statement yesterday on his 64th birthday: “The old Aerosmith is back with a new vengeance, and we will kick your ass and make out with your mothers.” The Global Warming Tour will kick off in Minneapolis June 16th and conclude in Tacoma, WA August 8th.
Aerosmith last played in their hometown with J. Geils Band at Fenway Park in 2010. The band is expecting to release a new studio project later this year, marking their first since 2004′s Honkin’ on Bobo. Cheap Trick will be opening act for their upcoming concert run.
