This Week in Boston Shows (March 23-28)

Posted by Ace Staff on March 23rd, 2010 in Concerts

On Thursday, March 25th, Norah Jones will grace the stage of Boston’s Citi Performing Arts Center (Wang Theatre). The daughter of well-known satirist Ravi Shankar, Jones has sold more albums than any other female jazz artist this past decade. She is currently touring in support of her fourth album, The Fall. Orchestra seats are available starting at $89 each.

Another event on Thursday is Gabriel Iglesias at the Wilbur Theatre. The comedian who got his start on Nickelodeon’s “All That” will bring his comedic styling including impressions and animated story telling to the stage for two performances at 7:00 and 9:45 PM. Tickets start at $65.

Boston’s House of Blues will host Spoon, Dearhunter, and The Strange Boys on Saturday, March 27th. Spoon returns to the area in support of their seventh studio album, Transference. The band has gained popularity over the past few years with songs such as “The Underdog” and “I Turn My Camera On,” being featured on many television, movie, and video game soundtracks. Stadium seats for this concert start at $69 and floor tickets are just $79.

Also at the House of Blues this weekend is HIM, on Sunday, March 28th. The rock band from Helsinki was the first Finnish band to have a gold album in the United States with 2006′s Dark Light. Their most recent album, Heartkiller, was just released on March 3rd of this year, so for many New England area fans, the concert at House of Blues will be the first chance to hear the new songs live.  General admission tickets are $65. More Boston concert updates to come!
