Kiss and Motley Crue announced a joint summer tour and will be coming to Mansfield’s Comcast Center on September 16.
With 30 combined studio and live albums, Kiss has been a force in the rock band generation since they released their first album in 1974. The one time Grammy Award winning band consists of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer, and Eric Singer. They are well-known for their heavily make-upped faces and wild costumes during live shows that also include pyrotechnics, fire breathing, blood spitting, smoking guitars, and floating drums. They’re latest studio album, Monster, is set to be released in June 2012.
Heavy metal rock band Motley Crue has nine albums, including their debut in 1981, Too Fast for Love. Members include Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars, and Vince Neil. They have a volatile history with interesting personalities. Their most recent album, Saints of Los Angeles, was released in 2008, but the band is currently prepping new music for another release.
Combined, the bands will be sure to put on a good show, full of classic music and hijinks. The tour kicks off July 20 in Bristow, VA and will continue across the U.S. into September.
