The Bruins are at home tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs at the TD Garden before they begin a streak of away games the rest of the week. The team is coming off a 3-2 win against the Philadelphia Flyers. Before Saturday’s win, the Bruins have struggled with a 1-4 record over the past five games. Second in the Eastern Conference, and first in the Northeast Division, the Bruins are primed for the postseason. With only 11 games left of the regular season, they need to kick off a consistent run of wins if they want to match last season’s Stanley Cup Championship success. Look for them to go hard for the win tonight against their division rivals to start the week, and the rest of the season, off right.

The East Division of NCAA Basketball plays in Boston this week at TD Garden. Boston College is the official host school of the tournament, but the four teams playing in the Sweet Sixteen on Thursday March 22 are the #1 seed Syracuse versus #4 seed University of Wisconsin, and #2 seed Ohio State versus #6 seed University of Cincinnati. Fans of March Madness can’t miss the chance to see their favorite teams play live in these do-or-die games.

The NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey Northeast Regional Finals will take place at Worcester’s DCU Center March 24-25. The #1 seed overall, Boston College, will play The U.S. Air Force Academy, while the University of Minnesota Duluth will go up against the University of Maine. Winners of the Saturday games will play on Sunday for the chance to make it into the Frozen Four in Tampa Bay. Other New England representative Boston University plays the University of Minnesota at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota. The other two teams in the West are Western Michigan University and the University of North Dakota.

Kathy Griffin is coming to the Wilbur Theatre for four shows on Friday March 23 and Saturday March 24. She will have two shows on each day, one at 7:30 and the other at 10:00. Griffin is touring her stand-up routine that changes according to whatever hot celebrity gossip is relevant at the moment. She has had a stand-up special on HBO, 15 specials on Bravo, and two comedy albums. In addition, Griffin is known for her two-time Emmy Award winning reality show My Life on the D-List and her various guest appearances all over television, including Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Whose Line Is It Anyways, and Glee. Her spots on talk shows like The View and The Late Show with David Letterman and her co-hosting duties with Anderson Cooper on New Years Eve are always controversial. Griffin will be hosting her own talk show on Bravo, the self-titled Kathy, starting in April. Always at the center of everything Hollywood, Griffin will have a lot to talk about at all of her shows in Boston this weekend.

The Celtics play at home this weekend on Sunday March 25 against the Washington Wizards. This season, they are already 3-0 versus Washington and will look to make it a season sweep this weekend. With 22 games of the regular season left, the Celtics are making a run at the playoffs. They lost their past two games against the Sacramento Kings and the Denver Nuggets, but will play three away against the Atlanta Hawks, the Milwaukee Bucks, and the Philadelphia 76ers before their next home game. In second place in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference, they are only a game and a half behind the first place 76ers. Hopefully they can get a win streak going that can catapult them into the postseason in the last stretch of the regular season.
