The Celtics will play two games at TD Garden this week following their 115-111 overtime win yesterday over the New York Knicks. On Tuesday March 6, they will welcome the Houston Rockets and on Friday March 9, they’ll play the Portland Trail Blazers. The Celtics improved their record from below .500 to 19-17 due to their current four game winning streak. Now only two games behind the first place Philadelphia Sixers in the Eastern Conference, the Celtics hope to build on their momentum and make a run at the playoffs.

The Bruins had a tough weekend, losing two close games by one point. They’ll get a chance to recoup at home on Thursday March 8 against division rival Buffalo Sabres. The Bruins hold their first place lead in the Northeast Division by three points above the Ottawa Senators and a full 11 points ahead of the Sabres. They’ll look to turn things around on Tuesday’s game away versus the Toronto Maple Leafs so they can come home on a high note.

On Wednesday March 7, the TD Garden will host the Black Keys who are on tour for the recent album, El Camino. This is the seventh album for the three-time Grammy Award winning rock band since they debuted in 2002. The album hit #2 on the Billboard 200 chart the first week it was released and was declared by Rolling Stone and Time Magazine as one of the Best Albums of the Year in 2011. The band continues to grow in popularity with every new album released and tour across the country.

Van Halen is coming to the TD Garden on Sunday March 11. The band is on their 2012 tour for their new album, A Different Kind of Truth, which dropped in stores February 7. Van Halen ranks 19 on the best-selling band/artist of all time list and their new album was no exception. It’s their first album since 1998’s Valen Halen III and since being reunited with band member David Lee Roth. Expect old hits mixed in with new songs from the album, like “Tattoo,” their first single off of the album.

WWE Raw SuperShow will be at the TD Garden tonight. It’s the countdown towards the WrestleMania 28, which will happen on April 1, so the fights will be fierce and exhilarating in preparation for the finals. The main match will pit Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on his comeback in the wrestling world against Shawn Michaels.
