Celtics Win, Clinch Playoff Berth

In the third and decisive game of the season series between the Celtics and Pistons, it was the Celtics outplaying Detroit in a 90-78 win for Boston at the TD Banknorth Garden. It was a heated and physical game with 43 fouls overall andĀ five technicals called on the Celtics. Kevin Garnett was huge for the Celtics scoring a season high 31 points. Kendrick Perkins dominated the backboards with a career high 20 rebounds.

It was the sixth win a row for the Celtics and with it Boston became the first team to clinch a spot in the playoffs. The highly anticipated game featured the two likely contenders for the Eastern Conference title and provided a preview of what would be a great playoff matchup.
