The Shubert Theatre is hosting the Tony Award nominated musical The Addams Family until February 19. Based on the animated portrayal of the characters created by Charles Addams, it stars Douglas Sill as Gomez and Sara Gettelfinger as Morticia. Fresh off a successful run on Broadway, the show is a must see for all fans of the beloved dysfunctional family. Audiences will see improvements from the Broadway version, including updated music and dance numbers. It all starts with the famous song, “The Addams Family Theme.”

Comedian David Spade will be performing at the Wilbur Theatre this week. Spade stars in the popular show Rules of Engagement with former gigs in Saturday Night Live, Just Shoot Me, and 8 Simple Rules. He has also been in many movies, such as Tommy Boy, Emperor’s New Groove, and more recently Jack and Jill. Expect to hear his live stand up full of sarcastic wit and celebrity impressions.

Boston’s TD Garden will be hosting both the Celtics and Bruins this week. On Thursday, the Celtics and their new second place all time scorer Paul Pierce welcome rivals Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers for their first meet up of the 2012 season. The Celtics are on a roll with a five-game win streak, the perfect time to play a struggling Laker’s team who are coming off two losses in a row. Both teams have similar records, the Celtics at 14-10, the Lakers at 14-11.

The Stanley Cup Champion Bruins will play their one regular season match up against the Nashville Predators on Saturday. The past 10 games, the Bruins have an even record at 5-4-1, while the Predators have played well at 7-2-1. On Monday, the Bruins beat the Washington Capitals 4-1, with Tim Thomas making 35 saves and Milan Lucic, Brad Marchand, Rich Peverly, and Tyler Seguin all scoring.

The Garden is also host to the Beanpot Finals this week. Northeastern University will play Harvard in the consolation game. Each team lost to Boston College and Boston University respectively last week. After, BC and BU will duel out their historic rivalry with BC having won two consecutive Beanpot Championships. In 2010, BC beat BU in the finals and in 2011, BC finished off Northeastern to gain the trophy and Boston hockey bragging rights. The games are must sees for all hockey and Boston fans.
