BC Prepared to Defend Beanpot Title

By on February 3, 2011 in

With the 59th annual Boston Beanpot tournament approaching, the BC Eagles were able to remind the BU Terriers who the current champions were in last week’s 3-2 victory in front of the 6,150 in attendance at the Agganis Arena. The Eagles have won all three contests against Hockey East opponents so far this season.

“We really had an excellent start, our first period was one of our best all year,” said BC coach Jerry York. “I thought the goaltenders were strong and we each controlled a period. They controlled the second, and the third was just back and forth.” BC and BU will face off in the Beanpot Semifinals Monday, February 7th at the TD Garden.

The Northeastern Huskies and Harvard Crimson will also matchup that day with February 14th reserved for the second round. The Huskies currently hold the advantage in light of their mid-January 3-0 win over Harvard. Find the best Boston Beanpot ticket deals with us at AceTicket.com!
