Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be back on the road this spring, hitting 16 major venues across the U.S. before traveling overseas for an additional 32 concerts. The North American run will begin at the Philips Arena in Atlanta March 18th and conclude at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ May 2nd.

Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center, East Rutherford’s Izod Center and New York City’s Madison Square Garden will welcome in ‘The Boss’ and Co. for two nights along the way. Boston’s TD Garden has them reserved for March 26th.

The band will be touring in support of their 17th studio album Wrecking Ball, which is set to release under Columbia Records on March 6th. The album’s lead single “We Take Care of Our Own” became available for listening just last week.

The 2012 E Street Band will feature Roy Bittan (piano), Nils Lofgren (guitar, vocals), Patti Scialfa (guitar), Garry Tallent (bass), Stevie Van Zandt (guitar, vocals), Max Weinberg (drums), Soozie Tyrell (violin, guitar, vocals) and Charlie Giordano (keyboard).

The upcoming string of shows will mark the band’s first outing in three years. Many fans were curious as to whether the band would make it out on tour again, especially after the June death of E Street saxophonist Clarence Clemons. In November, Springsteen posted a message on his website that read: “A lot of you have been hearing that Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will be on tour in 2012. That is absolutely correct.” View all upcoming U.S. tour dates below.  Also check out Bruce’s new single:
