After beating their rival Canadiens in a tough game on Tuesday, a somewhat fatigued Boston Bruins team headed to New York – their first road game in nearly two weeks. The Islanders out-skated, out-shot, and generally outplayed the Bruins; but Tim Thomas’ dominant goaltending gave the Bruins the win. Thomas stopped an incredible 40 of 41 shots (Islanders netminder Yann Danis stopped 25 of 27) and continued to show why he was selected to the NHL All-Star game. On Saturday the Bruins will face the Capitals in Washington at 7:00pm.
