The Portland Trail Blazers will be in trouble if Darius Miles plays two more games this season. Drafted by the Blazers in 2000, Miles underwent microfracture surgery in 2006 and had his salary taken off the books under a classification of “career ending injury”. After 6 preseason games with Boston, and two regular season games with the Grizzlies, Miles is just two games away from going back on the books for Portland. If his salary is reinstated, the Trailblazers will not only go over the salary cap, but they will also have less money at their disposal for signing new free agents next year. While the Blazers have e-mailed GM’s asking for them to not play Miles, all teams stand to earn $250,000 in revenue sharing if Portland goes over the cap (versus the $28,000 it would cost to play Miles for two games).

Portland Trailblazers tickets are available now!
