The Green Bay Packers (11-5) will prepare to repeat their last performance against the Arizona Cardinals (10-6) at University of Phoenix Stadium this Sunday, January 10th at 4:40 PM. The contest will mark the third rematch from just one week ago. The Patriots vs. Ravens and Cowboys vs. Eagles are the other upcoming featured rematches. Many have questioned Packers head coach Mike McCarthy’s decision to leave his starters in last week knowing the squad had already solidified a Wild Card spot.
“We’re the youngest team in the league for the fourth year in a row.” said McCarthy following their 33-7 romping. “Our goal as a coaching staff was to keep these guys on track and get as much momentum and confidence going into the playoffs, because the other teams that we’re going to be competing against have more experience.”
Green Bay has dominated the Cardinals two different times this season by a total of 54 points. QB Aaron Rodgers has led his team to win seven of their last eight. The Packers shouldn’t be too sure of themselves on Sunday as they enter a new type of game atmosphere against experienced veteran opponents between Kurt Warner and the rest of the 2008-2009 NFC champs.
