Artie Lange is an actor, comedian and radio personality from Livingston, New Jersey. He performed his first stand-up comedy routine when he was nineteen. Lange starred in MADtv's first season. The second he had to back out of due to an arrest and cocaine abuse. He went to rehabilitation and then came back strong. He was featured in "Dirty Work" with Norm MacDonald. MacDonald then brought Lange into his sitcom "The Norm Show." He then starred in "The Howard Stern Show" from 2001 until 2009. His suicide attempt in 2010, however, led to an eight-month stay in a psychiatric ward and the end of his appearance on the show.

In addition to his television presence, Lange has released recordings of comedy performance. He released "It's the Whiskey Talkin'" in 2004 and "Jack and Coke" in 2009. He has also written a book, "Too Fat to Fish" which was number one on the New York Times Best Seller list. He also co-wrote, produced, and starred in his own film entitled Artie Lange's Beer League.

On July 6, 2011, Lange returned to radio. He guest hosted on Fox Sports Radio with comedian Nick DiPaolo in place of Tony Bruno. On July 21, Lange announced he would be working with DiPaolo to host a "sports and entertainment comedy show" on Fox Sports Radio. The contract is guaranteed for three years and both comedians will make $500,000 per year. In 2012, Lange made an appearance in an episode of Louie in August and his second book, "Crash and Burn" is scheduled to come out in November. Artie Lange will be hosting a night of comedy at Boston's Wilbur Theatre on Saturday, December 8 at 7PM.
