Aimee Mann was born on September 8th,, 1960. She has won a Grammy Award and has also been nominated for an Academy-Award. Mann is a very talented American rock guitarist, singer, bassist, and a noted songwriter.
Her musical career got started at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA but she dropped out in 1982 to sing with a punk rock band called the Young Snakes. Mann was in a few other bands, most notably ‘Til Tuesday, before branching out to do a solo career in 1993.
After having her first two solo albums receive high critically acclaimed praise, but produce very weak sales, Mann decided to found her own record label, SuperEgo Records, in 1999.
