Opened in January of 2005, the Agganis Arena is a $225 Million state-of-the-art multipurpose venue. It is the crowning achievement of recent expansion projects at Boston University. The Agganis Arena is the new home for BU's Men's Hockey Team. It has also played host to concerts by Sting, The Pixies, and Maroon 5. Smaller than many concert venues such as the TD BankNorth Garden, the Agganis Arena seats 7,200 people for concerts, providing a more intimate experience for the artist and the fan.
