Against Me! is an American punk band that formed in 1997 out of Gainesville, Florida. Their first full-length album, Reinventing Axl Rose, was released on the No Idea Records label in 2002. In December of 2005, they signed to Sire Records, and on July 10, 2007 they released their major label debut, New Wave. Spin magazine named New Wave the best album of 2007.
