Adam Lambert Information

Despite not winning the 8th season of American Idol, Adam Lambert has become a pop idol in a different sense. As the first openly gay pop star to sign to a major record label, Lambert has broke barriers by releasing For Your Entertainment that debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200. Even though he didn’t win Idol, Lambert’s album sales have outnumbered those of winner Kris Allen and he’s proved himself much more fitting for entertainment, hence the album title.

While on Idol, Lambert made his name by singing classic rock songs like Michael Jackson’s “Black or White”, Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” and KISS’s “Rock and Roll All Nite”. His debut album was a good representation of all his musical influences, calling the album “a multi-genre album: rock-pop-electronic-dance thing”. “Time for Miracles” was featured in the film 2012. The first single “For Your Entertainment” received widespread radio play and the album itself was raved as being the best debut from an Idol contestant to date. With songs written by Lady Gaga and Pink, the tracks compliment his range perfectly and ought to see much more praise in the upcoming months. In promotion of his new musical career, Adam Lambert will be performing at the South Shore Music Circus in Cohasset, MA on August 20th with artist Orianthi (singer of radio hit “According to You”).
